The Doctoral Degree Program of Chemical Engineering and TechnologyPassed External Expert Peer-review

SDUT held a meeting of periodic qualification assessment of the doctoral degree program of Chemical Engineering and Technology in room 417 of No. 13 experiment building on December 29th 2023, inviting experts to carry out an on-site assessment of the program. CONG Hailin, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of SDUT and vice president attended the meeting, along with director of Graduate Studies Office, dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, teachers and representatives of postgraduates. 

The expert group was headed by FAN Yiqun, member of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council in Chemical Engineering and Technology and director of Discipline Construction Department of Nanjing Technology University. Other expert members include Prof. YAN Zifeng, executive vice president of the Graduate School of China University of Petroleum (East China); Prof. YANG Yanzhao, director of the Professors' Committee of the National Engineering Research Centre for Colloidal Materials Technology of Shandong University; Prof. ZHANG Weidong of Bejing University of Chemical Technology, member of the Teaching Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Education; Prof. TAN Xiaoyao of Tiangong University; Prof. KUANG Shaoping, director of the Research Institute of Qingdao University of Science and Technology, and Prof. CHEN Guozhu, dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Jinan University.

The director of Graduate Studies Office introduced the expert group, the participants and the arrangement of the assessment.

On behalf of SDUT, vice President CONG Hailin delivered a speech to welcome the experts, briefly introduced SDUT and the Chemical Engineering and Technology doctoral degree program, and emphasized the importance of the assessment.

The dean of the School of Chemical Engineering reported the construction of the program, existing problems and the following plans, and thereafter, the expert group made comments on the program construction. 

Afterwards, the expert group inspected relevant documents and materials, and held a discussion with leaders of the school, tutors and representatives of postgraduates.

After the assessment, the expert group fully affirmed the construction of the program, and unanimously agreed that the assessment materials are complete and standardized, and the program has achieved remarkable results in talent cultivation, scientific research, achievement transformation and social service, and has met the requirements of the periodic assessment of the doctoral degree program, and thus, has passed the expert peer-review.
