Shandong University of Technology regards the building of a high-quality faculty as the foundation for the development of the university. According to the faculty building principle of “Absorbing Talents, Cultivating Teams, and Making Masters”, the university insists on cultivating, absorbing and inviting scholars of talent and has managed to build a faculty of high educational level, good specialty structure, and strong research capability with reasonable age structure. Yao Fusheng, the university president, is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. 7 other academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chinese Academy of Science are invited to be leaders of the provincial engineering technology research center and leading professors. Besides, 96 domestic and international experts and renowned figures were invited to be adjunct professors.
