Shandong University of Technology actively develops its postgraduate program. At present, there are 43 postgraduate programs in engineering, science, economics, management, law and literature with an annual enrollment of 400 graduate candidates. 3 programs can enroll secondary occupational school teachers as on-the-job graduate candidates. 7 programs can accept applications for master degrees from people with equivalent schooling record. 8 disciplines of 2 fields can grant Master of Engineering degrees.

    SDUT now has more than 160 master supervisors. At the same time, over 60 supervisors from other universities are invited, which enlarges the team of graduate supervisors. After the graduate candidates are enrolled, they can select their supervisors and the supervisors can also select the students to be supervised. The supervisors participate in the whole process of training and managing graduates.

    During “the 11 th 5-year period”, the school has put forward the plan to set up doctoral programs and to enlarge its master programs. It is planned that at the end of “the 11 th 5-year period”, the number of postgraduates on campus could reach 2,000 (excluding specialty degrees and on-the-job master degree applicants).
