Recently, the ninth “Higher Education Cup” contest of advanced mapping technology and product information modeling innovation among national college students was solemnly held in SDUT. Participants were 1,300 teachers and 2,400 students from 370 universities in 31 provinces, autonomous regions and province-level municipalities.
During two-day competition, the conference had granted 57 first group prizes which consisted of 40 for mechanics, 11 for construction, 3 for roads and bridges, 3 for water conservancy and hydraulic engineering. Our school won the first group awards in the fields of mechanics and construction.
The national college students’ advanced mapping technology and product information modeling innovation contest has been gained its universal recognition among national colleges of science and engineering and it has been regarded as one of large-scaled, high-level, wide-participated extracurricular science and technology academic contests among engineering students. The contest was co-hosted by the Steering Committee for Teaching of Engineering Graphics of the Ministry of Education, the Specialized Committee of Graphics Technology of China Graphics Society and the Specialized Committee of Product Information Modeling of China Graphics Society, covering 4 competitions in the fields of mechanics, construction, water conservancy, and road and bridge.
