On October 24, 2017, SDUT were visited by Dr. Jeff Bakken, deputy provost of Bradley University in the United States and dean of the Graduate School, and his assistant.
YI Yuchen, Deputy Secretary of the SDUT Party Committee met with Dr. Bakken and his delegation, and held talks with them. The heads from the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange and the Graduate School also attended the meeting. During the talks, the two sides reached a consensus on teacher-student exchanges, and teaching and scientific research cooperation. They also agreed to sign an agreement on inter-school cooperation for better communication. Besides, the two sides had in-depth discussions of exchange programs among undergraduates and postgraduates, and planned to cooperate with each other on student exchanges in three master's programs including electrical engineering, biochemistry and MBA. The two sides agreed on aligning the various professional courses later on to lay a solid foundation for the development of programs.
In the afternoon of October, 24th, the visitors went to the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, where they gave lectures to some of the undergraduates and postgraduates on how to apply for admission to the universities in the United States, and guidance on required specialist knowledge, application procedures, and preparations of related materials.
