From June 9th to 11th, the 5th Ecological Unmanned Farm Demonstration Seminar was held in SDUT. Top experts from domestic and foreign universities, research institutes, and advantageous enterprises in ecological unmanned farm technology discussed and exchanged views on key technologies of ecological unmanned farms, and talked about cooperation and development together.

The seminar was sponsored by SDUT and co-organized by the Association of China Rural Cooperative Economy Management, National Center for International Collaboration Research on Precision Agricultural Aviation Pesticides Spraying Technology, Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering, International Society of Precision Agricultural Aviation and other units. CHEN Xuegeng, academician of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering, LI Yuxia, President of SDUT, BI Meijia, Chairman of the Association of China Rural Cooperative Economy Management, YAO Weike, President of the China Association for International Science and Technology Cooperation,WEI Liqing,Vice President of Qilu Institute of Technology,WANG Yingkuan, Secretary General of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering, WANG Fengle, Chief Expert of the National Agricultural Technology Extension Service and Center, XIONG Xin, Director of Zibo Science and Technology Bureau attended the seminar. Over 600 people attended the meeting, including well-known experts and representatives of enterprises from France, Australia, Pakistan and other countries, from the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Chang Jiang Scholars Program and Ten Thousand People Plan, as well as representatives of teachers and students of SDUT. Special Assistant to the President and Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering and Food Science chaired the meeting.
In the morning of June 10th, the demonstration was held. In the ecological unmanned farm of Linzi District, the guests watched the integration of ecological agriculture, green recycling agriculture and unmanned operation of the ecological unmanned farm technology system, and observed the research results of the technical system and equipment.
The guests also visited the Ecological Unmanned Farm Research Institute, smart fishing farm, smart cattle farm and smart seed processing workshop.
In the afternoon of June 10th, the seminar was held in the Arts Center Hall. LI Yuxia, BI Meijia, YAO Weike, WANG Fengle, WANG Yingkuan and XIONG Xin delivered speeches respectively.
At the seminar, the establishment ceremony of the Ecological Unmanned Farm Professional Committee of the Association of China Rural Cooperative Economy Management was held. SDUT was elected the director unit, and 13 units, such as the Aerospace Information Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the National Engineering Research Center for Intelligent Equipment in Agriculture, were elected deputy director units. Hainan University and 31 other universities, research institutes and enterprises were elected members. BI Meijia honored each selected unit.
In the academic report, Professor ZHANG Yanfei of the Ecological Unmanned Farm Research Institute of SDUT, Professor Andrew Hewit from the University of Queensland in Australia, Vice President XIONG Zheng of Shenzhen Modern Agricultural Equipment Research Institute, Senior Researcher Jean Paul Douzals of the National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment in France, Researcher DONG Daming of the National Engineering Research Center for Intelligent Equipment in Agriculture, and Associate Professor Muhammad Naveed Tahir of PMAS-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi in Pakistan, Chairman WU Jianhui of Changchun Sanhetong Technology Co., Ltd. respectively delivered reports.
During the seminar, the Ecological Unmanned Farm Research Institute signed cooperation agreements with the University of Queensland in Australia, the National Institute of Agriculture, Food and Environment in France, and the Rawalpindi Arid Agriculture University in Pakistan.
It is reported that the Ecological Unmanned Farm Demonstration Seminar has been held for five sessions since the first session in March 2019, which, together with demonstrations, has greatly promoted the research and application of ecological unmanned farm technology.
