On August 9th, the Second Weifang Industry-Education Integration School-Enterprise Cooperation Dialogue Meeting was held at the Weifang Fuhua International Conference Center. LIU Jianjun, deputy secretary of Weifang Municipal Party Committee and mayor of Weifang, attended the meeting; CHEN Duanmei, vice mayor of Weifang, presided over the meeting; and CHEN Shengwei, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of SDUT, participated in the event.
At the meeting, the head of the School of Transportation and Vehicle Engineering of SDUT signed an agreement with the representative of Weichai Holding Group to jointly build the School of Intelligent Automobile Modern Industry.
CHEN Shengwei, as a representative of universities outside Weifang, made a speech. He said that SDUT would focus on the national “Made in China 2025”, “Old and New Momentum Transformation of Ten Industrial Areas” of Shandong Province and the key areas of industrial development of Weifang on the basis of the existing industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, and rely on the first-class disciplines, advantageous characteristic disciplines, as well as national and provincial first-class specialties of SDUT, to establish a modern industrial school serving Weifang and give full play to the synergistic advantages of the government, industry, academia and research to deliver more high-quality applied talents for Weifang.
It is reported that SDUT has been actively advancing the construction of modern industrial schools in Weifang and has built ten provincial and school-level modern industrial schools, including the School of Agricultural Intelligent Equipment Modern Industry and the School of Intelligent Automobile Modern Industry with Weichai Holding Group and the School of Precision Manufacturing Industry with Goertek Group.
After the meeting, CHEN Shengwei and his delegation inspected Weichai Holding Group and Goertek Group.
