Recently, SDUT passed national standards of “Intellectual Property Management for Higher Education Institutions” compiled by the China National Intellectual Property Administration, the Ministry of Education and the China National Institute of Standardization, and was conferred the Intellectual Property Management System Certificate. This showed that SDUT had reached a new height in intellectual property management, which could strongly support the discipline construction of SDUT.
Since 2020, SDUT has made the implementation of standards of intellectual property management system the essential task in the establishment of national intellectual property pilot universities and made due preparations and continuous efforts in line with the implementation plan. SDUT established a specific group to work on the intellectual property certification, set up platforms, such as the National Intellectual Property Information Service Center and the Provincial Patent Navigation Base, formulated work plans, sorted out certification systems, and organized internal reviews to integrate the work of intellectual property into the whole process of scientific research and its management and achievements transformation. Meanwhile, SDUT also made manuals and rules of intellectual property management, and formulated 12 normative documents, such as information retrieval and analysis control procedures and intellectual property control procedures. All these have helped SDUT gradually form an intellectual property system and management modal of her own of characteristics, which conforms to the national standards, hence, laying a solid foundation for the certification.
Beijing Wankun Certification Service Co., Ltd. appointed four experts to SDUT to carry out on-site audits from October 17 to 18, and finally they fully affirmed SDUT’s structure of intellectual property management system, intellectual property operations and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. They unanimously agreed that SDUT was qualified for the certification of standards of intellectual property management system.
It is reported that the certification span all master's degree disciplines in relation to intellectual property management, which includes Master of Mechanical Engineering, Instrument Science and Technology, Traffic and Transportation Engineering,Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics, Agricultural Engineering, Food Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Surveying and Mapping, Chemical Engineering and Technology, Mineral Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Applied Economics, Laws, Marxism Theory, Chinese Language and Literature, Statistics, Management Science and Engineering, Business Administration, Library Information and Archives Management and Social Science.
