The Seminar on the Application of Artificial Intelligence and Smart Agriculture Technology Held at SDUT

Seminar on the Application of Artificial Intelligence and Smart Agriculture Technology was held in the conference room on the second floor west of Xingyuan Hotelon May 28th. This seminar was jointly organized by the School of Computer Science and Technology and School of Agricultural Engineering and Food Science. More than 200 experts, scholars, and enterprise representatives from the fields of artificial intelligence and smart agriculture attended the seminar both online and offline. CUI Huanyong, member of the Party Committee Standing Committee and vice president of SDUT, presented at the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

 

CUI extended warm welcome to experts and scholars presented at the seminar, and briefly introduced SDUT and its achievements in artificial intelligence and modern agricultural equipment research in recent years. He hoped that, through this seminar, the cross-integration of new generation information technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data with smart agriculture and modern agricultural equipment could be better promoted, and the refocusing of the disciplines in SDUT deepened, so as to contribute to the powerful digital economy development of Shandong province and the digital rural center of agriculture in Zibo city. 

Scholars like ZHANG Qin, professor at Washington State University (WSU) and director of the Center for Precision and Automated Agricultural Systems; LI Minzan, professor at China Agricultural University (CAU) and director of the Smart Agriculture Research Center; YANG Qinghua, professor at Zhejiang A&F University (ZAFU) and director of the Institute of Modern Agricultural Robotics; FU Longsheng, professor at Northwest A&F University; GONG Yongshun, professor at Shandong University, and professor WANG Zhiqiang and YIN Xiang of SDUT were invited to deliver reports and conduct in-depth discussions on artificial intelligence and big data empowering agricultural intelligence and intelligent innovation and development.
