Professor Behrendt, academician of Acatech, academician of the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences, Chairman of TU9 (Germany Universities of Technology), and representative of the President of the Technische Universität Berlin, visited SDUT, accompanied by other scholars,from April 10th to 14th. HU Xingyu, Secretary of the Party Committee of SDUT, LI Yuxia, President of SDUT, YANG Yun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of SDUT, and CONG Hailin, member of the Party Committee Standing Committee and vice president, attended the meeting and other activities .
On April 11th, HU Xingyu and YANG Yun met with professor Behrendt and his team and warmly welcomed their visit. They hoped that cooperation in scientific research and innovation between both parties could be further strengthened so as to achieve more in these fields.
On April 12th, President LI Yuxia and Vice President CONG Hailin held a talk with professor Behrendt and his team in the conference room on the ninth floor of Hongyuan Building. LI welcomed professor Behrendt and his team on behalf of SDUT, fully acknowledged the achievements made by both sides in energy research and utilization cooperation. She also hoped to deepen cooperation and achieve new progress in international joint laboratory construction, international cooperation project application, and teacher-student exchanges.
At the meeting, both parties had a thorough discussion on the intended cooperation. Professor Behrendt stated that he would do his best to help bridge friendly cooperation between both parties and promote the development of both sides.
During his visit in SDUT, professor Behrendt and his team visited the laboratories of the School of Transportation and Vehicle Engineering and the School of Agricultural Engineering and Food Science, participated in the Sino German Flexible Energy Technology Seminar held by SDUT, and delivered a report titled “The Challenge of Energy Supply - Fossil and Renewable Energy”, in which a detailed analysis and predication of the development of the world energy field is presented.
