In accordance with decisions of Central Committee of the Party and requirements of Shandong provincial party committee, on the morning of April 14th, SDUT held a meeting of Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Party Building Work Leading Group at conference room on the ninth floor of Hongyuan Building. During the meeting, arrangements and deployments were made for SDUT to carry out party discipline education activities, which marked launch of the study and education on party discipline within SDUT.
Leaders of the Party Committee of SDUT, HU Xingyu, DENG Changliang, YANG Yun, SU Shoubo, NIE Falin, GUO Qingbing, CUI Huanyong, CONG Hailin, MA Guosheng, LIU Xingqing, and LYU Yanping, attended the meeting. Heads of departments responsible for the Party Building Work Leading Group also presented. The meeting was presided over by HU Xingyu, the Secretary of SDUT’s Party Committee.
At the meeting, DENG Changliang, Deputy Secretary of SDUT's Party Committee, led the study of General Secretary XI Jinping's important speeches and directives regarding party discipline education. YANG Yun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, conveyed spirit of the meetings of the Central Party Building Work Leading Group and Shandong Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Provincial Party Building Work Leading Group. MA Guosheng, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of Organization of the Party Committee of SDUT, presented the plan for conducting party discipline education of SDUT and composition of special working group. The attendees discussed content of the plan and offered opinions and suggestions.
HU Xingyu delivered a speech, putting forward three requirements regarding successful party discipline education.
Firstly, HU emphasized elevating political stance and fully recognizing the importance of carrying out party discipline education. This initiative serves as a crucial political task to consolidate theme education and promote in-depth practice of studying the Party's innovative theories. It is also a vital measure to strengthen the Party's disciplinary construction and drive comprehensive strict governance of the Party into further development. It constitutes the fundamental strategy of comprehensive strict governance of the Party and provides an effective approach to address issues where some Party members and officials fail to notice in regulations and discipline. It is an essential guarantee for spirits of Party members and cadres in Party endeavors.
Secondly, emphasizing objectives and tasks will ensure successful and orderly progression of party discipline education. It is imperative to deeply learn and master the Party Accountability. HU encouraged the learning of the disciplines chapter by chapter and clause by clause, applying knowledge into real-life situations, promoting learning through case studies, keeping “the bell ringing”.
Thirdly, complete organization will ensure that party discipline education is carried out with high standards and high quality. Leaders should fully take their responsibilities and the key comrades of the Party organizations at all levels should shoulder the responsibility, and the other members should conscientiously fulfill “the responsibilities of their post”, by enlarging publicity and strengthening guidance, fully utilizing positive and negative examples, striving for tangible results and avoiding formalism, thus to promote the high-quality development of affairs of SDUT.
It is reported the General Office of the CPC Central Committee recently issued the Notice on Carrying out Party Discipline Education within the Party. With consent of the Party Central Committee, party discipline education will be conducted across the entire Party from April to July 2024. Following unified deployment of the Party Central Committee, this activity aims to have Party members, especially leading cadres, earnestly study the newly revised Party Accountability, so as to make Party members understand and adhere to the discipline, remaining loyal, clean, and responsible.
