On the afternoon of July 1st, SDUT held a grand ceremony in the auditorium of the Student Arts Center to celebrate the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and present awards to the excellet staff. The advanced collectives and individuals in grassroots Party building were awarded, who have emerged in the development of SDUT’s cause. It aimed to inspire Party members, cadres, teachers, and staff to further emancipate their minds, keep abreast of the times, forge ahead, strive for excellence, and solidly promote the high-quality development of various undertakings of SDUT.

Members of SDUT’s Party Committee, middle-level cadres, secretaries of Party branches, honored advanced collectives and individuals, as well as representatives of faculty and student Party members attended the meeting.
The conference commenced with the solemn and majestic national anthem. SU Shoubo, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of SDUT, announced the “Decision of the CPC Shandong University of Technology Committee on Honoring Individuals and Collectives for Their Outstanding Contributions to Grassroots Party Building.” The leaders presented awards to outstanding Communist Party members, excellent Party workers, exemplary cadres who demonstrate responsibility and action, outstanding teams and leadership in entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as advanced grassroots Party organizations.
GUO Ruyi－representative of the outstanding Communist Party members and postgraduate student from the School of Economics, ZHANG Fuling－representative of excellent Party workers, secretary of the Second Party Branch of undergraduate students of School of Materials Science and Engineering, LI Tao－Director of the Cooperation and Development Division and representative of the exemplary cadres who demonstrate responsibility and action , ZHANG Lei’an－leader of the New Technology Industrialization Innovation Team for Wind Turbine Blades from the School of Mechanical Engineering and representative of the outstanding teams in entrepreneurship, ZHU Xinghui－Head of the Student Affairs Department and the Armed Forces Department, and representative of the excellent team for hard work and entrepreneurship, and CHU Zhaoyong－Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Transportation and Vehicle Engineering and representative of the advanced grassroots Party organizations, successively made exchange speeches. They introduced their experiences and practices respectively, and expressed their confidence and determination to take on the mission.

HU Xingyu delivered a speech, congratulating the honored individuals and collectives on behalf of SDUT’s Party Committee. He also extended sincere greetings and highest respect to the Party members, cadres, teachers, and staff who are working hard in various positions of SDUT.
HU Xingyu pointed out that since the Fourth Party Congress, SDUT’s Party Committee has united and led the vast number of Party members, cadres, teachers, and staff to fully implement the general requirements for Party building in the new era and the Party’s organizational line in the new era. By firmly establishing the concept of Party building in an integrated and deeply fused manner, the high-quality Party building has continuously led SDUT to achieve new accomplishments and create new situations in its high-quality development. He systematically summarized the achievements of SDUT’s Party building since the Fourth Party Congress from four aspects and, on behalf of SDUT’s Party Committee, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all Party members, cadres, teachers, and staff for their hard work and unremitting efforts.
Focusing on the comprehensive implementation of the general requirements of Party building in the new era, continuously improving the quality of Party building, and leading the high-quality development of the cause with high-quality Party building, HU Xingyu emphasized that first, we should perform our duties and responsibilities, and consistently lead the Party building to a deeper level. Party organizations at all levels to grasp the Party building as the primary responsibility, the fundamental responsibility, resolutely shoulder the major political responsibility of strict control of the Party, and promote the key tasks of grassroots Party building work to achieve results. Party members and cadres should better shoulder the responsibility of the times to deeply promote the overall strict governance of the Party and promote the high-quality development of Party building in SDUT.
Second, we should take on the role, and strive to achieve new achievement of the new era. Party members and cadres should be a pioneer in the reform and development of SDUT, demonstrate the sense of responsibility, maintain a spirit of urgency, and advance various tasks with perseverance. They should view their work performance as their most outstanding credential and promote the healthy development of SDUT with tangible results.
Third, we must seek truth and strive for excellence to promote high-quality development of the cause under the guidance of Party building. Party organizations at all levels should focus on Chinese-style modernization as the paramount political goal, unite and lead all faculty, staff, and students to push forward and overcome difficulties, and fully implement all tasks. Party members, cadres, faculty, and staff should adopt a daring and determined attitude, and constantly create new horizons in the development of SDUT.
During the conference, DENG Changliang emphasized that all grassroots Party organizations should conscientiously implement the spirit of this conference, pay close attention to details in all aspects of their work, strive to write a new chapter in SDUT’s development, and celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China with concrete actions.
