From November 22nd to 24th, the 2024 Academic Annual Conference of the Chinese Society for Agricultural Machinery, sponsored by the Chinese Society for Agricultural Machinery and hosted by SDUT, was held in Zibo. Those attending the ceremony included REN Luquan, the academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences；LUO Xiwen, CHEN Xuegeng and ZHAO Chunjiang, the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering；CHEN Zhi, president of the China Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers；GE Yiqiang, chief engineer of the China Rural Technology Development Center；MA Jingchun, party secretary and Chairman of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences；BI Haixin, inspector of rural revitalization of Shandong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs；LI Xinsheng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Zibo Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor；HU Xingyu, Secretary of the Party Committee of SDUT, LI Yuxia, President of SDUT；CUI Huanyong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of SDUT , along with other leaders and guests. The opening ceremony was presided over by YUAN Yanwei, Chairman of the Chinese Society for Agricultural Machinery, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and General Manager of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences Group Co., Ltd.
At the opening ceremony, LUO Xiwen, LI Xinsheng, HU Xingyu, BI Haixin and MA Jingchun delivered speeches respectively.
LUO Xiwen pointed out that the Chinese Society for Agricultural Machinery has made significant contributions for the development of China's agricultural mechanization and agricultural machinery equipment industry. He hoped that the professionals and technicians in agricultural machinery science and technology would strengthen cross-disciplinary and cross-field collaboration and integration, enhance cooperation and exchanges on academia, industry and management, promote sharing of resources and complementary advantages, and boost the in-depth integration of science and technology, thus contributing more wisdom and strength to the development of agricultural mechanization.
LI Xinsheng stated that Zibo City has been implementing the strategy of rejuvenating and strengthening agriculture through science and education, and is making every effort to build a national rural reform pilot zone. Centering on the high-quality, efficient, comprehensive and full-process development of agricultural mechanization, Zibo city took the lead in introducing a subsidy policy for the purchase of intelligent agricultural machinery in the province, promoting the optimization and upgrading of agricultural machinery equipment. It has created application scenarios such as ecological unmanned farm, and innovated the development path of digital + agriculture and rural areas. By leveraging digital and intelligent technologies, Zibo city has stimulated the vitality of rural revitalization, seized the opportunities of the digital agriculture revolution, and achieved remarkable results in creating a model for rural revitalization in Qilu area.
HU Xingyu delivered a speech on behalf of SDUT and briefly introducd the university. He stated that the academic annual conference was powerful to implement General Secretary XI Jinping's important remarks on agriculture, rural areas, and farmers. It was of great significance for promoting scientific and technological innovation in the field of agricultural machinery, developing new-quality productive forces in agriculture, and contributing to the construction of a powerful agricultural country. Taking this academic annual conference as an opportunity, SDUT would strengthen exchanges and cooperation with brother universities, research institutions, enterprises, and public institutions, thus improving discipline construction, scientific research innovation, and talent cultivation, and striving to make greater contributions to the construction of a powerful agricultural country.
BI Haixin stated that Zibo was chosen the place to host the 2024 Academic Annual Conference of Chinese Society for Agricultural Machinery was a significant milestone for the scientific and technological innovation and development of agricultural machinery in Shandong Province. It established a high-level platform for Shandong to communicate and cooperate with others in agricultural mechanization, and would surely promote the development of the agricultural mechanization in Shandong to a new height.
MA Jingchun stated that, as the Association secretariat affiliated unit, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences would, as always, provide comprehensive support in terms of human resources, finances, and materials. It would comprehensively enhance the academic guiding role, talent-gathering role, industry influence, and international competitiveness, thus offering high-quality innovation services to members and science and technology workers.
At the conference, the outstanding branches of 2023, the annual outstanding reviewers of the Agricultural Machinery Journal, and the distinguished papers of the journal were honored respectively. Ceremonies were held for the establishment of the 2024 Sci-Tech Innovation China Science and Technology Service Group of Chinese Society of Agricultural Machinery, for the appointment-letter conferring to the first-batch experts, for the unveiling of the Zhejiang Service Station for Facility Agricultural Equipment of the Chinese Society for Agricultural Machinery, for the establishment of the Decision-making and Consulting Expert Group of the Chinese Society for Agricultural Machinery, and the appointment-letter conferring to the first-batch experts. The Blue Book for National Agricultural Equipment Industry Innovation and Development Report (2022-2023) was also released.
Focusing on the trends of agricultural artificial intelligence, smart agriculture, and intelligent agricultural machinery, the conference invited LUO Xiwen, CHEN Xuegeng, and ZHAO Chunjiang to deliver speeches respectively. Besides, other experts and scholars made specific report on technological innovation to empower the development of new quality productivity in agricultural equipment. The conference offered 10 panel sessions on topics such as agricultural mechanization and high-efficiency and fine-scale field production, in response to the demands of building a strong agricultural and scientific-technological country for technological innovation in strategic frontiers, emerging industries, industries in urgent need, and future-competitive areas of agricultural equipment. During this period, some experts visited and provided guidance at SDUT's agricultural machinery equipment laboratory, advanced manufacturing research institute, and international precision agricultural aviation application technology research center.
This academic annual conference was themed on Developing New-quality Productive Forces in Agriculture to Bolster National Food Security. More than 800 science and technology professionals, including renowned experts and scholars from various universities, research institutions, enterprises and public institutions across the country, as well as doctoral students in the fields of agricultural machinery and agricultural engineering, participated in the conference.
