Recently, the Department of Science and Technology of Shandong Province released the “Notice on the Approval of the Establishment of Shandong Province Key Laboratories (Second Batch)”. Ten key laboratories led by SDUT have been officially approved.
The provincial key laboratories approved for establishment in SDUT include: Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of High-Performance Precision Manufacturing and Compound Processing, Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Wind Power Equipment Testing, Evaluation and Service Guarantee Technology, Key Laboratory of Integrated Design and Intelligentization for New Energy Vehicles, Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of New Type Power Distribution and Utilization Technology and Equipment, Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Functional Structure Integrated Ceramics, as well as the Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of High-Performance Rubber Green Preparation Technology and Application, Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Key Materials and Technology for Hydrogen Energy, Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Clean and Efficient Conversion and Utilization of Biomass Energy, Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Low and Zero Carbon Fuel Marine Engine, and Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Intelligent Magnetoelectric Equipment and Mineral Processing Technology.
Key Laboratories of Shandong Province are an important part of the “1313” four-level laboratory system in Shandong Province, relying on universities, research institutes, enterprises, and new-type R&D organizations with strong scientific research capabilities to establish independently or jointly. The Department of Science and Technology of Shandong Province has approved a total of 110 key laboratories across the Shandong province in this batch for optimization and restructuring, focusing on three key areas: materials, energy, advanced manufacturing and high-end equipment. It aims to make breakthroughs in a number of basic and frontier scientific issues as well as key and core technologies, generate a batch of original achievements with significant influence, accelerate the connection and integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, and enhance the supporting capacity of provincial key laboratories for industrial development.
SDUT has attached great importance to the construction of innovation platforms for a long time, taking the construction of disciplines as the leading force, adhering to the development concept of “relying on disciplines and serving disciplines”, gathering advantageous resources, strengthening support conditions, and continuously enhancing the ability of scientific and technological innovation platforms to serve the economic and social development. Next, in accordance with the deployment of the special working group on “Planning and Construction of Scientific Research Platforms”, SDUT will take the approval and establishment of these provincial key laboratories as an opportunity to continue to focus on the needs of the national strategies and the regional economic and social development. It will further strengthen the construction of scientific and technological innovation platforms, build large platforms, gather large teams and produce significant achievements, so as to better support the discipline construction and the high-quality development of SDUT.
