From November 15th to 17th, the 62nd Higher Education Expo China was held in Chongqing International Expo Center, where the 7th Higher Engineering Education Conference was also held during the same period.CHEN Shengwei, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of SDUT, and others were invited to attend the Expo and delivered a speech in the forum with the theme of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education and Engineering Talent Cultivation.
Focusing on the theme ofReconstruction and Practice of the Three-integration Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education System of 'Specialized Innovation and Entrepreneurship plus School and City plus Interschool' Driven by Innovation Approach, CHEN Shengwei introduced the endeavor made by SDUT, with an emphasis on industrial upgrading and the need for economic and social development, put forward and implemented the training model of innovation and entrepreneurship ability, that is, creativity inspiration—innovation practice—creation implementation —entrepreneurship incubation (four-step progressive approach) to address the prominent issues and weak links in the entrepreneurship and innovation education sector. He mainly introduced SDUT’s approaches, including popularizing education in innovative methods to strengthen the foundational driving force for systematic cultivation of innovation and entrepreneurship ability; promoting deep integration of specialized entrepreneurship and innovation and studying the theory of the integration to establish a systematic curriculum system for cultivating innovation and entrepreneurship ability; promoting comprehensive integration between SDUT and Zibo city and innovating the collaborative mechanism among government, industry, and education to pool innovation and entrepreneurship education resources from both SDUT and Zibo city; promoting multi-dimensional inter-university integration and strengthening cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurship elements to realize the joint construction and sharing of resources among universities, and the practical effects of SDUT's cultivation of innovation and entrepreneurship talents in recent years, as well as its responses and reflections on continuously deepening the education reform of integrating specialized innovation and entrepreneurship, and cultivating high-quality talents in the context of artificial intelligence. The speech was universally acclaimed by the attendees.
It is reported that the theme of this Higher Education Expo China is Integration of Vocational and General Education, Industry-Education Integration, and Science-Education Integration, with exhibition activities held to serve the integrated development of education, science, technology and talent. It attracted over 1,000 universities and nearly 700 enterprises.
