On January 23rd, SDUTsigned a strategic cooperation agreement with Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences (SAAS) in the conference room of Building No.1 at SAAS. Leaders present at the signing ceremony were HU Xingyu, Secretary of the Party Committee of SDUT, LI Yuxia, President of SDUT,SU Shoubo and DU Fangling, Deputy Secretaries of the Party Committee of SDUT, LIANG Jinguang, Secretary of the Party Committee of SAAS, LI Xiangdong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of SAAS, JIA Wu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of SAAS, and LIU Kaichang, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of SAAS.The ceremony was presided over by JIA Wu.
At the signing ceremony, LIANG Jinguang briefly introduced the basic situation of SAAS and reviewed the long-term cooperation between SAAS and SDUT in areas including agricultural machinery equipment, agricultural product processing, digital agriculture, and comprehensive utilization of saline-alkali land. Liang stated that SAAS would make full use of this cooperation opportunity, adhere to demand-oriented, problem-oriented, and result-oriented approaches, focus on a strategy for serving national and provincial agricultural strength, and set a successful example for future cooperation between universities and academies.
HU Xingyu briefly introduced SDUT and reviewed the longstanding cooperation between SDUT and SAAS in platform co-construction, collaborative innovation, talent training, and other aspects, as well as the achievements made in national major R&D program and provincial innovation platform co-construction. Hu stated that since the Party Committee of 4th Party Congress, SDUT has deeply implemented the advantageous discipline enhancement strategy, carried out the refocusing project, mobilized university-wide resources to build a strong agricultural engineering discipline, established the Institute (College) of Modern Agricultural Equipment, and sought to strengthen the construction of advantageous disciplines through multi-disciplinary focus and cross-disciplinary integration, leading the service for the national modern agricultural equipment industry. He hoped that both sides would take this signing as a new starting point to deepen collaboration, further exert respective strengths, improve communication and coordination mechanisms, strengthen project-based partnerships, fully implement all provisions of the agreement, establish large-scale teams and platforms, cultivate flagship projects, and produce significant achievements, thereby making new and greater contributions to advancing China as an agricultural powerhouse and strengthening Shandong’s role as a leading agricultural province.
LI Yuxia and LI Xiangdong officially signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.
According to the agreement, both two sides will focus on implementing the national innovation-driven development strategy and advancing major deployment in science-education collaborative innovation, give full play to their respective advantages in teaching, scientific research, and social services, and carry out cooperation in five areas: talent team construction, joint postgraduate programs, collaborative innovation in major scientific research projects, shared co-building infrastructure platforms, and integrated science-education collaborative innovation teams. The goal is to jointly promote the disciplinary construction level of both sides, achieve high-level and in-depth cooperation in building the Qilu model for rural revitalization, and contribute to ecological conservation and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.
Representatives from relevant departments of both sides attended the signing ceremony, including the Party Committee Office (President's Office) of SDUT, the Science and Technology Department, the Cooperation and Development Department, the College of Agricultural Engineering and Food Science, and the Institute (College) of Modern Agricultural Equipment from SDUT; alongside the Office of SAAS, the Science and Technology Management Division, the Institute of Food & Nutrition Science and Technology, and Shandong Academy of Agricultural Machinery Sciences from SAAS.
