On March 28, the Academic Degree Committee Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government announced the results of the 2024 thesis sample checks for master's degree. All 82 theses from SDUT for check were qualified, and no unqualified theses were found. Since Shandong Province began sampling check of master's degree theses in 2014, SDUT has maintained a 100% passing rate for 11 consecutive years and continues to perform the best in the province.
On April 1, the Office of Educational Supervision and Evaluation of the Ministry of Education announced the results of the expert evaluation of doctoral theses sampled during the 2021-2022 academic year. All 3 theses from SDUT for check were qualified, and no unqualified theses were found. Since SDUT was first enlisted in doctoral theses sample check by the Ministry of Education in 2017, SDUT has maintained a record of no“unqualified theses”for 6 consecutive years.
The quality of theses is an important index for measuring the quality of postgraduate education, and SDUT has strengthen the quality monitoring system, improved regulations such as the Review Methods for Graduate Theses, maintained 100% dynamic tracking and management of seven key links, such as thesis opening, midterm, and pre-defense. SDUT has also actively explored measures such as theses quality reviews to construct and improve the entire quality assurance system. These measures effectively guarantee and enhance the quality of doctoral and master's degree theses and degree conferment.
