Lush with greenery by Jixia Lake, the vibrant campus echoes with farewell songs. On the morning of June 20th, SDUT held the graduation ceremony for 2025 graduates, celebrating the successful completion of studies by 10,193 graduates as they embark on their next chapter. The main venue was at the Zibo Sports Center Comprehensive Gymnasium, with a secondary venue at the SDUT Student Arts Center Auditorium.
ZHAO Qingwen, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Zibo Municipal Committee and Mayor, attended and addressed the ceremony. HU Xingyu, Secretary of the Party Committee of SDUT, attended the graduation ceremony and presented the flag to the “College Student Volunteers Service Western China Plan” team.LI Yuxia, President of SDUT, also delivered a speech at the ceremony. Other attendees included ZONG Zhijian, Vice Chairman of theZibo Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Secretary-General of the Zibo Municipal People’s Government; SUN Yingtao, Executive Deputy Secretary of the CPC Zibo Municipal Education Working Committee, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group, and Director of the Zibo Municipal Education Bureau; SDUT leaders SU Shoubo, DU Fangling, NIE Faliang, GUO Qingbing, CHEN Shengwei, CUI Huanyong, CHEN Jing, PANG Qiuxiang; deans, deputy Party secretaries in charge of student affairs, and graduate counselors from all schools; as well as faculty representatives, alumni representatives, and graduates of 2025. Prior to the ceremony, warm-up performances including stage plays, instrumental music, song medleys, chorus, and an alumni video electrified everyone present and elicited thunderous applause.
The ceremony commenced solemnly with the singing of the national anthem.

SDUT leaders awarded graduation certificates, degree certificates, and honor certificates for outstanding graduates to graduate representatives.
Amid melodious music, graduate representatives presented flowers tofaculty and staff representatives, conveying their deepest gratitude and sincere wishes.
WANG Kewen, a graduate of 2025 from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates. Wang pledged to uphold the SDUT motto “Integrity, Learning, Commitment, Perfection”, and demonstrate the responsibility and dedication of SDUT members through concrete actions wherever they may be.
Professor CAO Zhonghong from the School of Life Sciences and Medicine delivered a speech on behalf of teachers, offering sincere advice to the graduates: learning is the “genetic code” for thriving in our times, so cultivate the habit of lifelong learning; conviction is the “growth factor” guiding your path forward, so hold fast to your faith and beliefs; collaboration is the “ecological optimization” for development, so understand and master the art of cooperation.
CHEN Qian, a graduate of 2003 from the School of Law, National Model Teacher, and Senior Teacher at Zibo No. 5 Secondary School, shared his life insights centered on three themes on behalf of the alumni: “Education is a warm dialogue”, “Growth matters more than success”, and “Move forward with the indelible imprint of SDUT”.
President LI Yuxia delivered a speech entitled “Forging Ahead in a New Era Full of Promise”. On behalf of SDUT, Li extended warm congratulations to all graduates and expressed profound respect and sincere gratitude to the faculty, staff, parents, and friends from all walks of life who have devoted a lot of efforts to the graduates. By recalling the struggles and outstanding achievements of some 2025 graduates during their time at the university, she applauded the students’ accomplishments and celebrated their vibrant youth.
At the moment of farewell, President LI Yuxiaoffered three hopes for the students. First, nurture a deep sense of patriotism, embrace our great era, and become devoted dream-chasers for the nation. Integrate personal aspirations into the grand blueprint of national construction and rejuvenation. Set ambitious goals to serve and strengthen the country, strive with a sense of duty, and write splendid chapters worthy of our times.
Second, cultivate the character of concentration, anchor your goals, and become a go-getter through sustained dedication. With the dedication to “sit on the bench for ten years, embracing solitude with unwavering focus”, and the pursuit of refining excellence toward perfection, maintain your resolve, persevere relentlessly, anchor your life’s direction, and strive to become outstanding figures in your chosen fields.
Third, maintain a strong thirst for knowledge, be courageous in adhering to principles while innovating, and become a “practitioner” of lifelong learning. Sustain a keen passion for learning and the principle of lifelong learning. Use study to sharpen wisdom, refine character, and enhance talents. Grounded in your professional duties, truly integrate knowledge with practice, using practice to promote learning and learning to enhance practice. Continuously transcend your limits and boldly advance at the forefront of the times.
On behalf of the CPC Zibo Municipal Committee and Zibo Municipal Government, ZHAO Qingwen extended warm congratulations to the graduates who had successfully completed their studies and delivered a message. Zhao expressed his hope that the graduates would carry forward the quintessential spirit of Qi culture, characterized by reform, innovation, openness, pragmatism, and inclusiveness, inherit the “red gene” of the Jiao Yulu spirit, and embody the craftsmanship ethos of excellence and focus. He urged them to apply relentless diligence in their respective fields, strive to become pillars of our nation, and contribute their youthful strength to national construction and rejuvenation. He warmly welcomed more young talents to choose Zibo, build career in Zibo, and thrive with Zibo, achieving dreams together with the city.
The graduation ceremony came to an end as all present joined in singing the SDUT anthem “You Accompany Me”, accompanied by the passing of the giant SDUT flag through the venue.
