2025-10-27

Recently, the Discipline Appraisal Panels of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and the Academic Degrees Committee Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government have successively released feedback on the random evaluation results of the 2020-2025 periodic qualification assessment of degree authorization programs at SDUT. The randomly evaluated doctoral degree authorization program in Agricultural Engineering and five master’s degree authorization programs in Sociology, Instrument Science and Technology, Surveying and Mapping Science and Technology, Mining Engineering, and Agriculture all successfully passed the qualification assessment with unanimous approval from the evaluation experts.

The periodic qualification assessment of degree authorization programs is a comprehensive diagnosis and inspection of the level of degree programs and the quality of postgraduate training in postgraduate education institutions. Conducted in six-year cycles, it consists of two stages: self-assessment by the degree-awarding institution and random evaluation by educational administrative departments. In this assessment cycle, a total of 16 degree authorization programs at SDUT participated, including 3 doctoral programs, 10 academic master’s programs, and 3 professional master’s programs, with 6 of them entering the random evaluation stage. Attaching great importance to this assessment, SDUT formulated a work plan, held multiple assessment promotion meetings, and organized all participating programs to carry out various tasks in an orderly manner. These tasks included self-evaluation and self-improvement, on-campus peer expert evaluation, preparation and submission of assessment materials, and rectification and enhancement, thereby solidifying the foundation for the assessment and ensuring the completion of evaluation tasks on schedule.

Moving forward, SDUT will develop targeted and effective improvement plans based on the opinions and suggestions put forward by the respective Discipline Appraisal Panels and the Teaching Guidance Committee. The university will continue to carry out rectification and enhancement work, further optimize the layout of degree authorization programs, and steadily improve the quality of postgraduate talent cultivation.
