2025-09-10

On the afternoon of September 8, Shandong University of Technology (SDUT) held a joint meeting of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Leading Group for Party Building in the Lecture Hall of Hongyuan Building. The meeting focused on conveying and studying General Secretary XI Jinping’s key instructions regarding the implementation of the Central Committee’s “Eight-Point Decision” on improving conduct. Participants reviewed the university’s progress in this thematic education campaign, aligned with the recent directives from the Central and Provincial Party Building Leading Groups, and outlined strategic arrangements for the next phase of work. YU Hongbo, Secretary of the CPC SDUT Committee and Head of the Leading Group for Party Building, presided over the meeting and delivered a keynote address. President LI Yuxia attended the session. The meeting was also attended by members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Party Building Leading Group, and Party secretaries from all secondary-level units.

It was noted at the meeting that, in strict accordance with the decisions of the CPC Central Committee and the requirements of the Provincial Party Committee, the SDUT Party Committee had conducted a rigorous education campaign. By integrating study, inspection, and rectification, the university had made unremitting efforts to improve conduct, yielding significant results. Moving forward, the university determined to continue to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary XI Jinping’s key speeches and directives. There would be a persistent focus on strengthening work styles and establishing long-term, normalized mechanisms for conduct improvement. Ultimately, the achievements of this education campaign would be transformed into tangible drivers for reform, innovation, and accelerated high-quality development.

It was emphasized at the meeting that the improvement of work conduct is a perpetual journey. First, the university would continuously strengthen ideological and political guidance. This involved strictly adhering to the study systems of the Theoretical Learning Center Group and conducting tailored conduct education across different levels and categories to reinforce the ideological defenses of Party members and cadres. Second, institutional mechanisms must be refined to address both symptoms and root causes, ensuring rigid regulations and strict enforcement that would lead to a normalized, long-term culture of integrity.

Furthermore, the meeting called for maintaining a “strict tone” without compromise. SDUT would continue to advance the comprehensive and rigorous governance of the Party, ensuring the thorough implementation of inspection-based rectifications and enhancing the impact of “warning education.” By deepening the “Integrity Initiative at SDUT”, the university aimed to foster a clean and upright environment for education. Finally, the achievements of the campaign would be integrated into all aspects of university governance and the fundamental task of “fostering virtue through education.” This wouldl guide Party members and cadres to act with courage and proactivity, striving to build a modern, high-level university and opening new horizons for institutional development through excellence in work conduct.
